The excursion starts with visit to the oldest structure in the island, Fort Cornwallis, which was reconstructed sometime between 1789-1793. It was where Captain Francis Light first landed and raised the Union Jack. Next, visit the Clan Jetties, old wooden houses built on stilts. These are early Chinese immigrant settlers who came in the mid-1800’s and late 1800s’. Next, will be the Khoo Kongsi Clan House, the most beautiful clan house out of mainland China. Be amazed and dazzled by the intricate craftmanship used to build this Jewel Of Penang. Then, drive pass the “harmony street” in Georgetown and witness the different religion’s places of worship on the same stretch, which are the Kapitan Keling Mosque, Sri Mariamman Temple, Kuan Yin Temple (Goddess Of Mercy) and St. George’s Church. Explore the highest hill in Penang, which is about 833m above sea level. Take the latest furnicular tram, a Swiss-made Cable Car, up the hill. At the peak, experience a cool breeze while exploring the peak with a breathtaking view of the island. There is a Mosque, Hindu temple, hotel, English restaurant ‘David Brown’, an Owl Museum, ‘Monkey Cup’ garden, The Habitat and many others.

Next, visit the Kek Lok Si, also known as the Ten Thousand Buddhist Temple. It is the largest monastry complex in South-East Asia. Beside the temple, said to be, the tallest three roof tiered pavillion in the world, which houses the statue of the Kuan Yin or Goddess Of Mercy.

Next, drive along Georgetown for the best night view of our heritage city. Next, proceed to the the Cross-Chanel Ferry Service, which has been operating since 1920, to take the Ferry Ride across to Seberang Perai (Province Wellesley). Take a stroll around the mainland Penang before back to the island via the famous Penang Bridge and proceed back to your hotel.

Features around Penang Island and offers a mix of history, nature, local culture and crafts. The tour starts with a round the island and followed by a visit to the Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si Temple. First visit, Fishing Village. Walk on one of the oldest jetties in Penang. Next, visit the Batik Factory, a cottage wool industry using wax and dye to print clothes. Witness a free demonstration on how free hand paintings used on different type of linens. After that, drive by the Western region of the island and view the beautiful scenic views before making a stop at a Local Fruit & Spice Stall to see some of the tropical and locally grown fruits and spices. Drive by traditional Malay Villages before reaching the Snake Temple, where you’ll find pit vipers languish on the altars and pillars of the temple.
